About the Global Fellows Program

Santa Clara University is dedicated to educate for competence, conscience, and compassion. The Leavey School of Business Global Fellows Program provides a meaningful 5-7 week globally oriented work experience for Santa Clara University students.

The fellowships available to students are located both abroad and in the U.S. All will have an international focus. Throughout this experience, and enhanced by leadership classes held before and after the respective fellowship, students will have the opportunity to connect to global leadership principles. The skills acquired whether working abroad or locally, will prove to be priceless. Global Fellowship enhances each student’s quest to become a global citizen both inside and outside the classroom.

The Global Fellows Program has been approved to fulfill the Experiential Learning for Social Justice requirement of the University’s new core curriculum. Those fellowships that qualify will be marked with a ### in the detail listings.

Many of the Global Fellows program assignments are with organizations that have participated in one of SCU’s global entrepreneurship programs – Women Leaders for the World (see Global Women’s Leadership Network at www.gwln.org) or the Global Social Benefit Incubator (Center for Science, Technology, and Society: http://www.scu.edu/socialbenefit/index.cfm).  The leaders in the assigned organizations know and understand Santa Clara’s commitment to social justice as well as our students’ part in that commitment.
